Collection : Manifesto
In art history, a manifesto declares the intentions of an artist or author in relation to their body of work. Jude Macasinag’s bachelor graduate collection aptly titled “Manifesto” is an example of that. He breaks down his own creative universe, merging it with cultural and artistic references to create a new design identity. Through this collection, he displays how one’s sense of self and heritage translates into a strong and personal visual vocabulary – an often overlooked but crucial process in one’s creative oeuvre.
